Our little house is close to 2 boat ramps. It's only a few miles from the Wappapello State park. It's a great little getaway spot, with a big deck off the back and plenty of wildlife for the hunters or those who may just enjoy watching. From the front door it is approximately a 2 minute walk to a private gravel bar perfect for a lazy river day or a great spot for children of all ages to safely play in the clear water of Black River. You can float or kayak/canoe the river with access to drop off points up the road from our home which allow you to float down to our house. Our home shares a private drive with 5 other homes. The owners of all homes share access to the common area which hosts the playset, basketball court and gravel bar. The home is two levels and includes everything to make your stay as convenient as possible! The bottom level has a full bathroom, laundry room area with washer and dryer and a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need to cook and eat as well as a large dining table. Also, in the lower level is a large garage turned into a game room and a few steps outside from the garage you can walk down a lighted deck to a firepit with built in benches and tables. It makes for the perfect spot to cozy up and roast smores, enjoy the beautiful scenery and share memories! Upstairs is an open area which doubles as the bedroom and living quarters complete with a queen bed, queen sleeper sofa and twin rollaway bed as well as a big screen TV and plenty of other seating! Outside the exterior door upstairs you will find another craftsman deck with built in seating as well as an area for covered parking. The home is stocked with all your essentials including: washer, dryer, microwave, toaster, blender, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, iron and ironing board, large assortment of dishes, bakeware, pots and pans, stove top popcorn maker, toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, bath towel, washcloths, hand towels, and a few extra hygiene items such as toothpaste, shampoo, etc. in case you forget something. We currently do not provide Wifi, there is cell phone service so you will have internet access via your phone. We have a TV with DVD player and a few DVD's as well as an Amazon firestick in the TV. There is a small assortment of board games. While the home is located in the beautiful hills of the Ozarks, it is conveniently located 12 miles from the city of Poplar Bluff. Starting with the blue roof, Moondance on Coyote Ridge is different. We found two expert carpenters specializing in log cabins - first cousins, Westley Smith and Ray Smith. They brought high skills, fine detail and creativity. Artifacts and antiques abound - each with their own story. Much of the antique furniture was purchased from our dear friend Barbara who moved away from the area. Our challenge was to create a space worthy of her. We think we succeeded. We are in the country only a 1/2 mile from 60 highway but in the woods. Its only 20 minutes to beautiful Current river or 10 minutes to Black River(Markham Springs). Wappappello and Clearwater Lakes are within 1/2 hour . Linens are. provided . All you need is a toothbrush. WE also have a fire pit and BBQ grill on a small patio. Please check that you will be bringing animals if that applies there is a cleaning fee for animals. Email is only allowed till you book then i get your number. I do have wifi but sometimes it is very weak, so dont bank on that please.

There are 4 rooms with queen beds, and 3 rooms with two twins each (6) for a total of 10 beds. Up to 6 extra guests beyond 14 are welcome to sleep on air mattress (bring your own) or in recliners, but there is a $30 one-time fee per person for extra guests. Air mattresses must not be in rooms due to fire hazard/limited space. We provide 2 towels and 2 washcloths per guest. Please bring your own beach/pool towels if you are renting the pool. If you’re looking for a place to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside, our property is ideal. If you’re looking for a place to party, we are not ideal, as we live on-site and outside music must end at 10 pm. Our home shares the courtyard and pool area with the lodge and is connected by an exterior courtyard wall and sidewalk. The lodge has a separate covered patio overlooking the pond area. It is slightly larger than the others, but it doesn’t have a window. The rooms are not spacious, so if you have small children, the smaller the portable crib/pack and play, the better. There’s a ping pong table, board games, corn hole set, and books for your entertainment, along with DirectTv and free wifi. Firewood is provided for the outdoor fireplace and bonfire pit by the pond. There are 2 extra folding tables and 4 benches under the stairwell for extra dining space. We also have a high chair and a pack-and-play. *The pool/courtyard area with outdoor fireplace rents for $100/day from 10 am until 10 pm. It rents for $50/day on the evening of arrival (4 pm until 10 pm). Please reserve it directly with us before arrival to ensure your preferred day(s) is available and not being used by us. It opens by Memorial Day and closes in late September each year. Our pool is not heated, which is nice mid-summer, but on the cold-side otherwise. The pool patio furniture is uncovered in May with the opening of the pool and covered in October. The lodge patio and it's furniture is left uncovered year round. The pedal boat is on the same schedule as the pool. We normally have the yard mowed on Friday (weather permitting). Flowers are watered daily. Please treat all our yard/maintenance workers with respect, as they are doing their job to maintain our property to the standards we have set. Guests do not have the authority to tell them to leave. We have a large Great Dane/Great Pyrenees mix dog named Shy. She is very friendly, good with all ages, and used to having guests. She isn't very energetic and doesn't jump, but she is likely to lay near the action or lean on you if you are outside. We also have a cat named Sweetie that spends time inside and out (of our house-she’s never inside the lodge). She is very social and tolerant for a cat, and also good with all ages. At any time, there may also be a new puppy or foster dog. We have a small dog yard that can be used for new pet additions if they become a nuisance. We will only have friendly pets here. However, please do not book with us if you are uncomfortable with outside pets. We will not be on call to remove them from your presence immediately. Please make sure everyone in your group tolerates/does not have a phobia of dogs or cats as we will not remove them entirely from our property. We don't allow other pets on the property for various reasons. No exceptions. Washer and dryer facilities can be rented for $10/day—bring your own detergent. It is unavailable Friday-Sunday if there’s an event at the barn. They are located inside the kitchen/workroom by our wedding barn. There are 2 large trash receptacles on the lodge patio for bagged trash. The main floor can accommodate 5 six-foot folding tables for extra dining space for roughly another 30-34 guests. (Permanent dining table seats 6-8.) Tables, chairs, table linens, and decor can be rented for special occasions. See photos for rental prices. The extra day guest fee applies for guests over the 14 limit included in rental price. This fee is $10/guest. Set-up not included in item rentals. There are security cameras on the property, located in the common area of the lodge, both patio spaces, and at the driveway. These are here for security and liability reasons. If you are uncomfortable with them, please do not request to book, as we are not comfortable not having them. They would only be reviewed in the event of a theft/crime/damages/suspected violation of the house rules, etc. Please read all house rules before booking and before your visit. Please also read the direction section and house manual section upon confirming your reservation. The lodge was originally built for our hunting guests (thus the rustic decor and taxidermy.) It's reserved October through December 20th every year for hunters. We may open some dates up depending on availability during the fall season. Lost/forgotten items will be held for one month after your stay before they are disposed of or donated. It is up to you to contact us to arrange for shipment or retrieval of items. Shipping fees through USPS will apply. Guests have access to the lodge and outdoor spaces near the lodge. We have a wedding barn 1/4 mile away from the lodge. If there is a wedding that weekend, we ask that lodge guests do not go to the barn area of the property. We will try and inform guests if there is a wedding on the weekend they will be here. However, some weddings may book after the lodge has already been reserved. Please do not open gates to any fields on the property. Guests are free to walk around the property as long as you don't have to open a gate to get there. The high-fenced hunting preserve near the barn is off-limits and will be treated as trespassing should it be entered. We are available to answer questions usually within a few hours if we are home. Please remember we are not a hotel, and we are not on call. We try and give as much privacy as possible, but we do live next door, so you will likely see us outside some. Further out, we are about 3 hours south of St. Louis, MO, 3 hours northwest of Memphis, TN, and 3 hours east of Springfield, MO.

Our home has 3 bedrooms: -a master king suite on the main floor with tv, a private bath with soaker tub and custom tile shower, and a walk in closet, also with private access to the front deck. -a queen suite on the lower level with a tv, private bath and a walk in closet, just off the lower level family room. -another queen suite on the lower level also with a tv, private bath and walk in closet, just off the opposite side of the lower level family room. -there are 2 sleeper sofas as well, one on each level. Can you imagine coming back to this log home after a day playing on Current River and in the Ozarks, and enjoying relaxation at its finest? If so, then this place is made for you. We are the only true river front property in Van Buren ... just few steps down the sidewalk to the waters edge and concrete platform .. newly remodeled 3 bedroom two bath... Massive deck just a few feet from the water ..! Lovely fire pit on the rivers edge . Save money by bringing your favorite raft, tube or kayak and float from town to the private dock...( about 2 miles ) Or for a fee , local concessions will pick up your group and haul you up river for a longer trip.

We are doing extra sanitizing in between each guest on all high traffic surfaces to help our guest feel comfortable staying here. Many of our guests are choosing to keep their reservations and are looking forward to a more secluded vacation. They plan to do more outdoor activities and explore our beautiful scenery and back roads. Also, with the ability to cook meals at our cottage, this provides an alternative to visiting restaurants. Our cottage is close to Current River (1/2 Mile) and Big Springs about 5 miles, parks, restaurants and dining. We are about 1/2 mile to the public boat landing and tube and canoe rentals. There are 3 restaurants within a 1/2 mile to the house.. You’ll love our cottage because of the coziness, and the location. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. you can even bring your fur baby ( must be APPROVED before booking) we do charge $25 pet fee PER pet. Great location convenient to everything, with all the comforts of home. Kitchen has all you need for preparing meals, or just making coffee or a cup of tea. We supply start up of coffee, tea, salt, pepper and essentials. All linens are supplied, no need to pack. We have toiletries in the bathrooms, along with cotton balls, make up remover wipes, blow dryer, band aids, and more. There are extra pillows, blankets, and a fan in the closet. We have tried to think of everything for your comfort during your stay. We own 2 houses side by side so if you have several in your group you can rent BOTH, the other house is Chasen Summer.

Our authentic new log cabin is located in Van Buren Mo just seconds away from Current River. We have three bedrooms and two bathrooms offering plenty of space for the whole family to relax. Sleeps 10.Our bottom level offers the master bedroom and bathroom with laundry room complete with washer and dryer, a kitchen with bar and barstools, table and chairs, all stainless appliances, granite countertops and alderwood cabints. A living area with vaulted cedar ceiling contains, two couches(one is a sofabed), tv with satellite, footstools and end tables. Glass doors and vault windows give plenty of light and a great view! Log rails and stairs lead you to our second story and landing where we have two bedrooms and a full bath. Queen size log beds in every bedroom with all floors being hardwood or tile. One of the upstairs bedrooms also contains a futon.
